It’s nothing short of a mini-storm. It raged through on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
We tripped, we argued, we fought. We failed.
Yet, God is faithful. When we ask, seek and knock, the door has been open for us.
Door to our heart and mind. Door to change.
In fact, nothing much really change as far as the situation and hard facts are concerned.
It is as if the colour tone of the early morning landscape being totally transformed into bright red and orange when the sun comes out.
Where are our priorities? Do we push for results at the expense of our relationship? Do we put our own views and interest above and on top of others?
Do we need people? Would we share our weaknesses and our needs and let people come in and help? Would we open our hearts and mind to change and grow?
I believe it’s God’s mercy. God shows his mercy through the showering of love from the people around us. We are indeed touched by God’s mercy through these nice people: counsellors, teachers, mentors. They know our weaknesses. Yet, they do not give up on us. They lead us to new grounds for growth.
How can we stop thanking for all these which have been given us freely?
Jesus’ apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians V 10: “To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassinly geat revealations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
God’s word is true indeed. We have been so weak only two days ago. But now, we have stood up again with the help of others, and rather strongly.
Hallelujah! Glory to God!
