CH takes much more time to do homework or revision than an average child.
Today (Sunday) was spent entirely on homework and Chinese dictation revision.
How have we become so workaholic? It’s perhaps fear of low marks and poor grades.
Try to promote his self understanding. “We must keep trying to overcome our own unique obstacles in life.
If Helen Keller can learn to read and write, you can surely do the same. You just have to double up the efforts
to compensate for your inadequacies.”
Harsh realities.
Luckily, CH is by nature a cheerful boys. He does shed a few tears from time to time, especially when he is tired. But he usually come back with a bright smile afterwards.
I also have to thank God for my patience. Today, I did not lose my temper at all. Just constantly think of something to keep him going. A new toy today was the electronic massager, which produces unimaginable effects to loosen one up.
A new goal set today by CH is to acquire a game cube using the marks awarded to him for doing homework. He got a total of 180 today.
